Just bought a new Retina 1a which is the camera I started off with many years ago. The camera seems to be in perfect condition incl the original bag with one small exception - the "knob" whith which you turn the distance scale to get the proper focus is loose and makes it difficult to change the scale...
Anyone having had this problem - ideas on how to fix it !?

I have a Retina 1a and am looking at it as I write this.
The lens/shutter assembly will have to come off to access the assembly that holds the knob. To remove this involves a bit of work, please refer to this fellows site for an idea. http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~Srawhiti/

Ah, something I forgot; the lens is very tricky to remove without the right tool. Beljan Manufacturing makes a tool for the Retina lens. I cannot see removing the lens without damage if you don't have this thing.
It sells for $24.99 and shipping on the big auction site. Search "Kodak Retina Wrench" should bring it up.
Good luck.
