Yesterday i was lucky enough to find in its orginal camera case a Retina IIIc, 50mm lens, 35mm lens, 80mm lens (Rodenstocks) and the the 35/80mm viewfinder all in near perfect conditon, everything works smoothly. I discovered in the top of the everyready case a small part held in by a small strap what looks like something that would cover the lightmeter maybe. It has a metal frame with white plastic insert with Retina IIIc on it.
What is it? Where can I find an owners manual for it? I found that great NZ website that helped me figure out how to use it. Pics later.
Thanks
Rob

This white plasitc part with metal frame which covers the light meter is for indirect meassurement!
a very rare part that many lost and never used because they didn´t know what to do with it!!!

If You want to meassure against the sun - place your self on the subject place and turn around to the place where you will stand with your cam - then meassure with this part.
I use it with my Bessamatic - lucky I found one and my Zeiss Ikophot light meter.

Thanks! Thats what I though it was. My meter does not seem to respond at first check.
Will have a look at that manual to see if I am using it right.
