I briefly owned a Nikon Coolscan 8000 and now own an Epson V600. The Coolscan 8000 was significantly better than the V600, but I had to sell it.
I want to get a better scan of one of my negatives, but can't justify the cost of a drum scan (especially since the shot in question isn't in sharp focus). I am interested in seeing how the negative looks as scanned by a Coolscan, though, and am willing to spend a bit of money to do so.
I'd happily pay a RFF member in the US $20 plus postage to scan the negative at 4,000 dpi on a Coolscan 8000 or 9000. Please note that the image contains nudity (It's this one: Ruby Slipper).
Please send me a PM if you'd be interested in helping me out.
Please note that I've been an APUG member since 2006, and to date have only been a lurker on RFF. I'm posting this here because asking to purchase digital services is beyond the scope of the APUG forums.
Thanks,
Dan
