Hi RFF,

It might be a good idea for us to connect on social media. I know we have different goals with photography. Mine is success as an artist and photographer.

Part of this game is social media. It wouldn't hurt us to exchange our social media handles and connect with each other there. I know social media gets a bad rap; I'm annoyed by it too. As a result, I try to keep things interesting for my followers.

I'm new to this life. I now spend all my time after work shooting, developing, scanning, working on my portfolio and applying to exhibitions. I'm giving this my all.

Is anyone interested? Let's follow/like each other in return.

I'll start:

There are many maybe most RFFs that are older. Check the recent poll. Most of us don't know what twiiter is. Beside maybe we consider this forum and PMs as Social media. I don't want to be discouraging but I don't have Face booking, Twiiting, or Google.

I don't even have a cellular phone. But keep trying some will respond.

hello

i've somehow missed the appeal of social media, and have since left linkedin and facebook, the two i ''tried''.

i am curious about your post, though, and hope that everyone replied to you via social media? or do the two weeks without response on RFF represent an answer of sorts?

for my purposes, i'm happy that we have RFF in common, and can communicate and share here directly, without parallel lines through the social media.

for me, a worthwhile exception would be to see a link to your flickr or other photo site, so i can see the breadth of your work more easily in a photostream or set of albums.

greetings from hamburg

rick

I think I'm younger than John, and like him claim this is social media and so we are both current. I am almost at the point of thinking i might like to follow, some, Twitter. I learnt that you can set up your "twitter deck" to watch for any tweet, anywhere, of a certain phrase, such as Summaron or Leica II etc. Interesting. I am only on Facebook to give a friend one friend and I hardly have looked at it since. I am not on Linked-In. There is just too much intruding on our lives. If I was starting a business, then yes to twitter, and yes to Facebook, for the moment. For the rest, I am not so sure.
