I have a Ricoh 519 and the triggermatic is firing the shutter after the draw to advance... Wondering what could be doing that. Any FON users out here?

It could use a good cleaning. The shutter blade rack detent is stuck open, so it fires right away. Weak/broken spring, sticky helical lubricant that has migrated to the shutter, or even a broken lever could be the fault. Sometimes the levers will get burrs on them, causing malfunctions when they don't go back into place like they should. Those are the four things I can think of.
Mine is all oiled up from someone trying to "service" it. I need to get a better set of spanners so I can get the shutter out of the camera for a proper cleaning.

Sounds like inner mechanics that I'd best leave to the experts with better eyes for tiny stuff... sent it off for a CLA...
Do you know if there were two viewfinder attachments for the aux. lenses, one for the wide angle and one for the tele? I have two, but they look identical and don't indicate any specifics. They both have the clear center area and a blue tinted outer area with what seems the same magnification. My guess is that I have two copies, each to be used for either of the two lenses.

The total area (blue) is for the wide angel, and the clear area is for the tele. All complete kits I've seen only had one finder. I had a set of the lenses once, but sold them off because I couldn't get a finder at a decent price. Then I got a set for the 2.8 (from the 500), and it had the finder with instructions. Now I need to get a 500 to try them out. Some day.

Great! That confirms what I thought, I got two of them, then. I also have a dead clip-in meter an I'm looking to replace it (maybe). These old seleniums just don't last with time and maybe it's just better to replace it with something newer that one can use with the LV-EV settings. I'm also looking for the silver hood and a maybe a protective UV filter that went with it to complete the set.
