So, I purchased a Ricoh GR1 recently from a seller here. The camera seems to work great (still waiting on getting some film back), but the light foam by the little film window is degrading.
I've never had to replace any light seals before.
Can anyone help me out on where to get replacement foam and how to go about doing it? I assume it's not too tricky but I want to make sure I do it properly.
Cheers!

Google Jon Goodman (eBay ID, interslice) who has an enthusiastic following. I have used a kit and everything you read about his service is true.
Also you could do as I did with another camera - a piece of black gaffer tape works fine.

Just in case anyone is interested I emailed him last night. He doesn't have anything for the GR1V. Most likely you're gonna have to get some foam and try and make it yourself. Thats what Im going to do. Ill let you know how it goes.

guys, in case you need I have a few (very few) laser cut spares for GR1 & similars, I calculated a price of 10USD shipped to USA with priority (I live in Italy...)

BTW, I'm quite depressed as shutter/aperture doesn't seem to work anymore on mine, anyone has ever repaired his little one?

If anyone is interested I did it on my own. I ordered this https://www.amazon.com/Camera-Light-Seal-Form-1-0mm/dp/B0014Z09D8 I ordered the 2mm and the 3mm. I started with the 2mm and so far it worked. I shot a roll of delta 3200 right after and no leaks. If the foam flattens out I’ll let you know. Worst case I’ll upgrade to the 3mm. If you can it’s prob best to just get it from copacetix in the above post. $10 is a deal. Copacetix if you can’t fix yours pm me if you wanna sell it broken. I need a broken one.

Do you think someone could be able to repair by it yourself? Lucky you!!

Sorry to high jack. I have a light leak on mine which seems to have returned. Sadly, I thought it was the window to view the film and did the gaffer tape trick. Looks to me that it's coming from the end of the film door. One can see the leak here. I've got a roll halfway in there so can't open it up and look around but wondering if there's a strip of foam there I need to replace.
