Hi!
Is there any believable rumors about the price of the Ricoh GRIII that probably will be announced in late September? Will it be a $500 camera like the XF10 or $1400 camera like the X100F?
The reason I’m asking is that GRII is really cheap now, like under $500. If the GRIII will be an expensive camera I would much rather by me another GRII. I “need” two cameras when I photograph demonstrators and riots and things like that. 21mm and 28 mm. So I will use two cameras no matter what.
Any thoughts?

$800-900. Could be $999 if they really packed something into it.
Just buy what you would like to afford.

I really hope that they bring out a GRiii, I would be on the preorder list for that one even though I said I would never do that again after the Xpro1. If it comes out I highly doubt it will be $500.
Don’t forget that for 21 and 28 equivalents you can use 2 GRs one would have the GW adapter which by all accounts (I have never used one) provides great results.

Thats my plan. I use the GW-3 a lot. But when shooting documentary I want to have both ready at the same time. So either I buy the new GRIII and use it at 28mm and my GRII at 21mm. Or I buy a cheap GRII and use one at 28 and one at 21.

I'd have to agree...

It will 'probably' be a continuation of what most manufacturers have done: 24MP, touch screen, maybe stabilization, move a button, and on and on.
I would just a get used GRii. Would give continuity in your work flow and the quality, which is excellent, would be consistent.
