Hello all!
My R1 started to act strangely this week. After each shot the camera retracts the lens and shuts down completely. All other functions seem to work fine.
Did any one know something about a possible reason?
The battery is new, btw;-)

possibly you might need to take the top cover off to clean the contacts for the shutter button and the power button? i remember wiping it down fora routine cleaning of the Vf and there were lots of gunk on those contacts.
