Gawd, I sometimes hate this gear-driven bunch so much.

Stories of far away countries and maybe distant subjects too but this man tried to make the world a better place and for that he deserves a big Thank You.

Er, it was 4AM here in France, and late night in the US. Some of us do need to sleep occasionally.

Morning, I saw this on other news channels first thing this morning, and as much as I love RFF, it's not my first port of call each morning
Nonetheless, this is tragic news, and is getting some traction in India itself (which as a person of Indian heritage I have a certain sense of cynicism about that country's shift away from open journalism). As much as it is about his photography, it's also about his courage and the search to tell us the truth. RIP

Very sorry about his death. Thanks for posting the news. I have been too busy working on other things but appreciate the effort to keep us informed.

Bit harsh Johann .
There are time differences in play and some ie me have never heard of the man.
Goes without saying that any death is tragic but its hardly appropriate to comment if you don`t "know" the bloke .

+1.
I'm in Europe and not spending all my time in internet and/or RFF .
It's a sad news, each year many talented and brave journalists risk their life to keep us informed. We can only thank them.
