Road trip!

On Tuesday I'll be leaving with my buddies in a band called samsara for a little one week tour. We'll be traveling through the Southwest as far as Austin and then back home next week. I'm really excited because I haven't been on a real road trip in three years. So that's one week of playing roadie, sleeping in van, wearing the same pair of underwear, eating Ramen noodles, and most importantly, shooting lots of film! I can't wait! :)

Hopefully tomorrow I don't sleep all day because I still need to load up a bunch of rolls of HP5 and FP4.

Anyways, I'm just sharing my excitement.

Better buy that film today, Kyle... the shops might not be open tomorrow! Have fun on your road trip. I took one earlier this week, but with my 9-year old son. It was fun, but wasn't qutie the fun kind of road trip you are going on.

ooops, sorry... I forgot you bulk load. Okay, set an alarm clock of "o-dark-thirty" :)

Yup, I bulk load.

Anyways, I'm leaving in a couple hours and I'm really excited. Hopefully I'll have some good photo opportunities.

Hi Kyle,

When do you pull into Austin? If I am free, maybe I can stop in and meet you at the gig. Where are your friends playing? Anyway, if you care to, bring along that M2, maybe you'll have a buyer after all. :)

Have a fun and safe trip, Kyle, and I hope you get lots of great shots (I'm sure you will). Kick ass!

Thanks to all the good wishes, everyone! I just got back (late) last night and I'm beat. I spent 16 hours in a van yesterday and drove through 4 states. The trip was a blast. Unfortunately, I didn't get many photos, because we did a lot of driving and the other guys didn't like stopping too often. It was still a wonderful experience.

Mark, I took my MP, 35/2 ASPH, 35/1.2, 50/1.5 ZM, and 90/2.8 Tele-Elmar plus a hand held meter and film.

I actually didn't take the M2, but its too bad I didn't see this post earlier. The show was at a place called Red 7 on 7th St. and that was on the 1/6. Austin is an amazing city.

Ah, too bad, maybe you'll come down my way again. I would also have loved to check out that Sonnar we've chatted about. Hope you got at least one or two keepers.

Ahh to be young again, not a care in the world.
Visiting places I only hear about in movies, a great life.
Hope you take some great photos.
