Just a heads-up there there is a Robert Frank show now underway in the modern wing of the Art Institute of Chicago. A few things from The Americans, but mostly other work.
I particularly enjoyed the selection from his book, Partida, described as photographs from his daily life and visits with friends. Very different from what we normally see of Frank.
The old wing has another, more extensive show, (also including some Frank), of photographs brought to AIC by its 1960s-70s curator, Hugh Edwards.
So much photography there that my wife and I hit a saturation point before seeing everything. Fortunately, it runs through October, so we'll have plenty of time to return.

Thanks John for the heads up. I will try and get there during the week.
