I had pre-ordered the new publication of The Americans, so I've had it since it's release. But now I wish I would have known about the "looking in" version, because I want to learn more about Frank's shooting process. I'm sure I'll get that version too.

one of the reasons i didn't want the looking in book is that it's ginormous and kind of distracts from the rest of the book. at the bookstore, they had copies availble but all wrapped up unfortunately.

Thanks for the link! A great listen. I have both the Americans and Looking In: The Americans. I concur that while 'Looking In' is great, spending time with the original is a little more "pure" of an experience. 'Looking In' is a little unwieldy to handle, but what a trove!

Thanks for the link. I'm looking forward to seeing the new book. I've seen a Frank "Americans"era contact in a private collection. It had I think at least two famous images on that roll and the rest were pretty nice too. He is damn good. I have a lot of respect for his work.
