Hi folks,

Where's the best place to get Rodinal in the UK these days? I can't remember where I got it last time, and now I can't find any - Silverprint has it, but has a minimum order of £25 (and what's frustrating is that I bought some stuff from them a few weeks ago, but didn't get any Rodinal).

Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Cheers,

Hi John

I thought APH09 and R09 were the same formulation.

Do you know what makes APH09 less long-lasting? The label says "the concentrate has unlimited shelf-life".

Cheers

Vincent

Hi Vincent,

I was under the impression that the APH09 was the older pre WW2 formulation of Rodinal and the R09 One shot was the newer incarnation that we all knew and loved as AGFA Rodinal. Fotohuis has posted on this topic here and on APUG before and there is some confusion abounding as to what is what, but he assured us that the way to tell is that the brew formerly known as AGFA Rodinal is now labelled R09 one shot made in Germany...

Hi, Alan.

I just keep adding the odd bottle to my stock every time I order other things from Firstcall.
Makes good economic sense and as the bottle I am currently using is 14 years young, there is no fear of it losing it's potency over time... No need to run out of developer ever again .......

Regards, John.
