I plan on making my Rollei 35 (Tessar) my landscape camera in 35mm.

However, I have a problem.

I ordered a Rollei branded yellow filter and an aftermarket (jyippie08 on ebay) hood but the combination does not work. It seems that the rollei filter doesn't have a female 24mm filter thread so I can only use a hood or a filter--not both.

Not sure what to do
1. Make a Rollei 35S my landscape camera and stick with b+w 30.5mm filters (easier to find, I think).
2. Fork $$$ for an OEM hood.
3. Find new filters (B+W/Heliopan/etc.).

Option 1 doesn't sound too bad because I had planned on getting the 35S next anyways and a hood would follow by default. I do think the Sonnar has some* advantages over the Tessar but I do not consider one better than the other. I made my Rolleiflex Tessar my landscape camera in 120 because filters are cheaper so i figured that I might as well do the same for 35mm.

Option 2 is problematic because the price of the hood is in collector territory and also because it is made out of plastic...I prefer metal over plastic/rubber

Option 3 is potentially problematic because the filters are supposed to be difficult to find (I haven't really tried but this is the popular opinion).

Well I'm happy without a filter for the time present but I just like to be on the lookout incase I see good deals.
