I recieved my Rollei 35s this week, an ebay purchase.. Took it for a spin, shot a roll and it came out beautifully.. I was shooting on a bright sunny day and had a nice depth of field thus lots of keepers on the roll. The meter checked spot on using my M6 to compare. Loaded it today with Ilford 3200 to shoot some candid subway shots with the asa at 1600....... Strange thing is the meter wont work in lowish light.. the indicator needle (the one with the circle on the end) moves when I change exposure settings but the other needle will not move beyond the left triangle.. sorry I'm probably using the wrong terminology here. I figured maybe the battery was dead or weak.. even wide open it hardly budged.. Took it outside in the sun and it worked fine.. Why wont it work in indoor light? Anyone have ideas?

Yeah, it's a known bug with the Rollei 35 meter. It simply needs some amount of light to wake up. It's irritating because you need meter most in subdued lightning conditions. Someone told me that the early German 35 version would have more sensitive meter. Maybe someone here knows more about it.
