Ok, I'm excited
The cam looks good, it feels good and shutter times seem to be accurate. There is only one problem, the aperture dial doesn't close the iris from f8 to f22. When I collapse the lens, relock it in the position to shoot it works until I rotate the dial again :bang:
It's a pain in the a** to collapse the lens everytime I change my f stop.
Any clue what to do?
thanks in advance

Are you operating the little lever below the F stop dial? The f stop stays lock if not pushed in while you turn it.

I do.
It's not the lever, <<i can rotate the dial but it doesn't affect the iris from f8 to f22

1) The Shutter is Cocked
2) That you're pressing the silver button before turning the lens and collasping it.
If you are not, especially #1 you may be damaging your camera. (you may be doing it right, but for the sake of arguement I mentioned it anyways). (re-reading, probably just mean you hate having to close it all down just to change settings).
Far as the aperture, as someone else said theres a small little silver 'button' so to speak wraped around one side of the aperture dial, this needs to be pressed in order to turn/select a new aperture. Its possible maybe the dial got 'thrown off track' by failing to do that?

My co-worker said you might have broken a peice inside the camera (he and his wife have owned a pair of 35SE for close to 20 years), parts of the inside of the camera are plastic so precautions such as needing to push that button on the aperture dial, or using two strokes instead of one for winding would prevent breakage.

Might need a CLA.
I have a 35T and 35S. Great cameras. Enjoy.
The CLA will be worth it.

Yeah sounds like it needs a cla.
In case you're interested, I have a fully working Rollei 35TE that I might be willing to sell. I bought it a while ago because it was a bargain but I just can't get used to scale focusing.
Then again...I might just have to give it another try and put a roll through it. Don't know.

thanks a lot for your fast responses!
Now I'm pretty sure that it's a matter of CLA. I opened the back and noticed a small lever (attached to the lens block, on the opposite of the lever, which activates the shutter), it doesn't move when the aperture dial comes to F8. I droped some lighter fluid and it worked (well, until the ronsonol evaporated)
after looking through some repair manuals in the internet I reckognized, that the 35SE is pretty complex and that I won't try to CLA it by myself. Now I don't know anybody who could do a nice CLA to it in Austria (there's the Leica shop in Vienna, but I guess it would be twice the price of the cam I paid - about 92 euros).
So if anybody of you guys is a skilled repairman and is interested in a Rollei 35SE(+case+original flash in really good condition) I could sell for much less than 90 euros.
