Rollei projector autofocus problem

Today I bought an old Rollei P350AF slide projector. The projector is very solid built and in good condition. It works fine except for the autofocus, which will not start. I have taken the cover of to look for loose cables but cant find any. I suspect some contact is oxidized? Anyone has any idea?

Hi Anders, That autofocus is an optical system looking for the film plane. Are all optical surfaces, lenses etc. clean?
Mine works perfectly!

It's really some fine mechanics in this machine I think. The two small lenses I could see in the autofocus system where very dusty. I cleaned them but it did not help. I dont know, maybe I should just leave it on for some hours so it gets really warm? It have run it for an hour or so, and it may very well be the first hour in twenty years...

Any other idea welcome!

Is there anything you need to do to set the projector in auto focus mode? Or is that default mode?
