rover, could this be the 1

I won't look, this is the .85 just posted at PN.

I feel like a vulture waiting for some scraps.

.72 for me. Dr. You is tempting me with a new M7, but I don't think I can reach there. Actually, who am I kidding, it is an extra $1,000. Can't do a new M7 no way.

I wouldn't touch an M7 with a 10-foot pole.

Why? I really don't know. It simply doesn't appeal to me. Nothing beats the M6 or M6TTL yet. Sure, at times I really would like AE but...

So, Rover, you're after a 0.72 VF camera?

We'll keep our eyes peeled! :)

Did you see the M3 a couple days ago Frank listed on PN? I would have been tempted had I seen it. I think it was posted when I was driving home.

Francisco, yes M6TTL, .72 Chrome. At this moment I still feel that I will be rewarded by being patient. It helps that I have been so busy that I haven't really been shooting much.

The M6 TTl posted on photo.net has been around for sale for several months - on several occasions. No takers. Seems like bottom plate is dinged... Anyway, this is 3rd or 4th time the seller posted it for sale - a bit suspicious, I'd say. And $1,200 isn't a very good price for a dinged M6, used by a guy who (apparently) shoots for a living - errrr, I mean, uses cameras for a living :)

Alright, Rover... you're known for springing with surprises (I remember that Hassy!), but still, if I see a reasonably priced Leica I'll send it your way.

Hey, this can be fun! We've become buying agents! :) Nothing better than suffering GAS in company! ;)

Tell me about it... A few weeks ago I declared having reached lens Nirvana, yet a few hours ago I placed a playful bid on a Leica lens.

Yes, sirreeee... :(

Me and Evil Brian will be waiting for you on the bottom, after your long, Long, LONG slide...

I will be keeping eyes open for you guys. M3, M2(two) , M6TTL 0.72, and a Mamiya Super... Yup, this is fun...

sorry, good ole joe... but my Canon radar isn't up to snuff today. The Leica, however, suddenly woke up.

Rover, have you checked Ritz Collectibles? How about Don Chatterton's website?

Just wondering if either of them will have what you want...

Now... gotta find a non-metered body for Frank! ;)

Here for you two, Frank and Rover. Click HERE for Ritz Collectibles (they're in Arizona or Arkansas, can't remember). Most reliable; I got one camera from them. They may not have what you want now, but keep looking.

Now, CLICK HERE for Don Chatterton's website. I got my first Leica from him. Check his site about each Wednesday. Sometimes he's good at updating it. If not, you can always e-mail him or call him.

Good luck! Have fun!

Rover,

I have been talking to a few Leica geeks lately and it seem that the M6 non ttl is what is in demand now. It is what an MP is now. I hear of disapointment with the M7 and the TTL due to electronics. I have a new M6 from a friend and a New 35 2.0 summicron Asph from KB Camera. By the way, I was talking with Richard at KB Camera and he has a BRAND SPANKING NEW M6 with the Leitz logo still in the box. If you are looking at a new camera, consider the one he has. It is priced very good for a new Leica.

Hmmmmm, any number of them around out here, but I think prices are a bit higher than in the states. They tend to go for around AUD 2k in good condition. I did see the other day a 3 month old chrome MP, complete with 50 'cron, for AUD 4k tho. But I am not tempted, I am temporarily happy and GAS is at a low. Wonder how long that will last? ;)
