Santa Con 2010

The NYC December Beer & Gear get-together at the White Horse Tavern coincided nicely with Santa Con. Hopefully, many of intrepid photographers got better shots of this event than my few high-noise, out-of-focus shots. I'm hopeful that Carl Merkin caught some got images of a drunken, passed-out Santa that he hounded.


This fellow was in the White Horse. Just coming out of the loo and ready to reload his overstressed bladder with some more brew.

Santas of all shapes, sizes and colors all needed to hail a cab at the very same moment, creating chaos for all.

Santas in shorts, Santas that were bearded, smoking ladies, Santas on cell phones... you name it, we saw it.

Sunglassed Santas strutting alone...

Santas in groups...

There were Santas galore...

Even Santas in bikinis... and mannequins, too...

Santas in miniskirts red panties (and probably given the free flowing alcohol, some Santas with no panties)...

Santas in sneakers...

Santas texting....

and more texting...

Santas with wigs...

and even a Jewish Santa replete with Menorah and Dreidl for Hanukkah. ..

Santa has been drinking, but not me (apologies to Tom Waits ("The Piano has Been Drinking....")

A new and improved version in B&W (that white balance in the color version was simply awful, wasn't it?).

I live in NYC and its a hard place to escape from. Seems like the crazyness is contagious and pretty soon one becomes a tourist attraction.

I watched this at the movies and I was laughing so hard, I could not breathe in and really thought I would die...

...I obviously didn't, but as near death experiences go, I highly recommend watching this film.
