Hi.
I have some negs that I want scanning that are shot on MF 120 film.
There's the scanner at Calumet which I tried and it turned out that 5hrs work gave me a lot of corrupted files, so I need to re-think this!
I can send the negs off to a semi pro lab to be scanned at about an 80mb file size which is perfectly acceptable.
Or there's the likes of Metro at £85 and a 250mb TIFF file.
Are there other cost-effective options as I don not anticipate the need to buy a scanner?
Thanks
Tim

you want scans of your negs but you don't need a scanner? That's a first.
several in different parts of the country. I haven't used any of them but they all should do a decent job as they have decent reputations.

p.s. if its just a one off requirement of a few negs I'd just find someone with an epson 700 and ask them to do it for you (for a few beers)

buy being the operative word - one you might have missed first time around.
Links most appreciated, thanks.
I had a had a look on eBay and it seems that there are a number of Epson scanners one level or two down from the V700 that might make a sound investment in the short term (skint).
Cheers
