50 Summilux is da DEVIL!
While going through one of the camera shops here in Mesquite, TX I came across a 13.5cm/f4.5 Hektor for 200 bucks. Very clean with no scratches and just sweet! Bought it and now it is residing on my MP. Will have to get a M3 for this little baby to live on.

Not so new now.
Post some pics-I am a little curious about this one.

Work is keeping me on the road but as soon as get back to Casa Glenn I will develop and scan some of the shots. I want to go out and take some shots of downtown Dallas today but can not get out of Mesquite while it is still light out.
Maybe tomorrow. I want to see how it compresses the view.

Nice lens. But $200 seems a tad high for that.....however, in the hand and in clean and clear condition, the extra could have indeed been worth it.
Look forward to seeing your images. I'd get one but I have a nice 135/4.5 Nikkor with an LTM-->M adapter on my M3 that is giving me some sweet images.

I thought about it but it was sweet and pretty with spotless glass and very clean. There was no little voice going "Back away from the counter sir! slowly!" At least I am happy with it.

Your time has value, and opportunity has value. A high-quality lens in hand is worth considerably more than a potential lens that you have to track down, order, wait to be delivered, then inspect.
Good find!

For some reason (high production?) the Hektors go for really cheap on ebay. Mine is pristine and has never done me wrong, but I loved dad's old Elmar 90mm F4 so much I grabbed a 135mm Elmar F4....no question it's superior. But for how often you'll use it that Hektor will never let you down.
