Once again at a Antique mall/flea market type place....
This is one I had never been to before.
I got a mint Canonet GIII QL with case, strap and original
canon lens cap...The case is shot like all of them but the
whole setup cost me exactly $1.07 including tax!
I cleaned it up and put a battery in it and its working fine.
Took off the top and cleaned the viewfinder windows.
Will have to put seals in it of course.
Now I wish I still had my last canonet flash that I sold.
I did find another GIII at an antique shop for $32.00
but I left that one there for now.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are so lucky!!! I ran across a Yashica GSN with wide and tele lenses today. $10! It didn't have the viewfinder and the rewind lever was stuck... :(

Still, thanks to this place I know what I am looking at now!! :D

Rob, your luck seems to know no bounds! What good fortune. I'm beginning to think that all the good camera deals in Georgia are from Hotlanta North.

Congratulations and I hope you keep on finding the "deals"! :)

No I have found deals on cameras in Florida while on vacation
also...You do have to really look hard sometimes. At the places I go you have to wade thru lots of china, furniture and polaroid cameras before you find gold...

David: You said the GSN was missing the rangefinder. You mean the whole mechanism was gone?

I found my GSN on ebay for $17.50. I had no idea what it was, but in the photo it looked rather intriguing, and also in perhaps mint condition. Turned out it was in near- mint condition. Only needed a battery and some light seals. What a lens! If you find another, jump on it. Lots of fun.

As for the Canonet...I'm looking.

oh, that's fine. That's just the extra viewfinder. The tele/wide lens attachments of the Yashica are quite crappy anyway (i find it a blasphemy to screw up that great yashinon with the extenders), so don't worry about it.
