Greetings all,
I'm eagerly awaiting my M8 back after yet another shutter repair (detailed in another thread). It's been sitting for a couple years disused while I lacked the time and/or funds to send it in.

Not long after I purchased it secondhand, I managed to crack the Giottos glass cover the previous owner put on it. Not knowing what it was at first, I thought I was looking at an expensive repair, and boy was it a mess to remove and clean up.

With the camera coming back shiny and like new, I'm thinking I ought to put in a new cover of some sort. I'd rather not be looking at an actual cracked screen in the future, now that I've been through the wringer of Leica NJ service.

Does anyone have any specific reccomendations, or preference on a glass/polycarbonate cover plate versus a simple adhesive sheet?

I always just buy the 'simple adhesive sheet' normally just look on amazon something that has a lot of good reviews, had the same one on my M9 since new or at least since my sensor was replaced not sure of Leica took it off or not!

I use the glass protector on DSLRs, mirrorless and compacts but have never managed to crack one. I would go for another glass or heavy duty plastic screen.
