Hi!
I got a nice CV 15mm with the original Voigtländer Adapter.
Which is my first CV lens and of course my first adapter.
What comes first: The adapter to the camera and then the lens on the adapter or first adapter to lens and together on the camera?
Also when removing: Is there a way to leave the adapter on the lens?
Thanx!

I always put the adaptor on the lens. It stays on the lens when I take it off the camera.

How can you manage this? When turning the lens to the left side, the adapter gets stronger then the screw mount from the lens.

I don't use an M8. The mount on yours may be a bit tight, as it's a new camera. All my lenses have adaptors and they all stay on, whether I'm using my M6 or my Bessa.

Put the adapter on the lens and forget about it.

You're trying to turn your screw mount lens into a bayonet mount lens. Your not trying to turn your camera into a screw mount body, are you? Put the adaptor on your lens first and "forget about it." I have followed this procedure on four such lenses and it works as well as can be expected- it's not perfect (it's an adaptor after all)
PS. if the lens is extremely loose, or if you're not sure, take it to your dealer and see if it's out of the ordinary. My lenses are slightly "loose " in the mount but only if I induce such.

Hi all, new member, first post.
I do the same: adaptor on the lens and then the whole on the M8. In this way the body is less open to gathering dust, which by the way for me is a problem.

Adapter on the lens and then it's on forever. I've used the CV 35, 75 & 90 with the CV adapter rings and none of them have ever had any play in them once the adapter is on. I've never had a lens unscrew at all.
The results seem identical to my bayonet mount lenses and I've never had an adapter come loose when removing from the body of either an M6 or M8. I was initially wary after having used other types of adapters on medium format lenses but I wouldn't hesitate to use a screw/M mount now.
