Dear friends,
I just purchased a LTM Elmar 50/3.5. Today I try to fit it on my CLE with an adapter ring.
It seems the lens can be fully collapsible into the body?
Is it true?or will it cause any damage of the internal chamber?
Thanks in advance.

I did a check yesterday. I removed film and open the curtain in B mode, and observed that when trying full collapsing, the rear part will touch the internal chamber.
It won't damage the metering component, but it may leave scratches.
The solution is simply as suggested by some threads here. I added an elastic band on the lens tube to prevent it from going to deep.
Now it's a perfect light kit with the CLE and Elmar.

Looks great. I have two CLE's with the VC 40 but I might put my old Elmar for a few rolls. Never even thought about it before.
