Screw mount on M9

I have an M9 and I want to use some screw mount lenses on it. The same Leitz adapters that work perfectly on M2s and M4s are too tight on the M9. Yet my 1970 Summicron and 1954 Elmar both bayonet smoothly.
It takes 3 hands to get the ring off. Any suggestions?

Yes, I use them all the time. You must have a problem with the adapter.

I used the voigtlander one and the voigtlander M rear cap can help take the ring off.
