Beautiful meters, I use one as a back up for my three Minolta Spot Meters, always frightened that my still working beautifully first one would pack in on me, so I got two more for insurance.

I wonder whether they will use the newer amorphous sensor, or a selenium cell as in the original. Great meter, by the way; I have the current version and find it a pleasure to use with the at-a-glance analog scales. I am not known as the Retro-Grouch for nothing.
Unfortunately, this anniversary edition appears to be the sort of thing that will be purchased by collectors and never removed from its box. A pity; good piece of equipment should be used as the creative tool it was designed to be. I have spoken!
At least I don't see any red ostrich leather...

Very pretty, I used their studio meter in high school and in college at Brooks Institute. I have their 18K gold, one millionth commemorative studio deluxe meter.

Has a price been announced yet? I actually worked for Sekonic (actually the importer of Sekonic) almost 50 years ago. Being exposed to light meters was what got me interested in photography.

I loved working for a Japanese company. The mindset, language, food all were so new to me but I miss it to this day. Good times!!

Great light meter. Usually on my camera bag or my neck. Have two slide sets but havent used them much, aside from the one intended for high light conditions. Probably will try to buy it if price is not that high.

I have the "user" version (as opposed to "collector") with the silicon cell. I like it. I've never used the direct slides even though I have the set. I bought the meter second hand and they were included. Brand new for $218 from B&H today. I've seen a reference to a $498 price for the collector edition.

I have one recent manufacture bought second hand in the classifieds here with the one slide provided. Overall I find the meter incredibly complicated to use and find the readings are difficult to trust and I want to check them. I couldn’t get it out now and use it and would need to read the instructions yet again. I began as a teenaged using EV values with a built in meter on a Zeiss Contina.

I seem always to lose the soft case for meters and usually never lose anything.

It’s hard to keep a meter pristine when more expensive stuff takes priority.

If I were getting another I’d want the Chim Seymour beaten up version with some faux camp breakfast gunk or something.
