Seeking advice. I have recently received a pre-war FED 6.3/100 lens. The glass is in excellent shape, but there are issues. The focus helicoid is very stiff and needing to be cleaned and re-lubed. In addition, the lens does not focus to infinity (on a Sony A7II) where the 'infinity' focus is about 100 ft. For the last five years, I have sent all of my lenses that needed work to Youxin YE, but Youxin will not work on Soviet equipment. Therefore I am seeking advice from members of this group on who to turn to in the U.S. for the necessary CLA. It would be even better if you could recommend a source who would also be able to shim the lens to work on an actual Barnack. Thanks.

Most Soviet gear can't be made to focus correctly on a Leica, no matter what anyone tells you. Shimming the lens can make it focus accurately at close distances, but will make it off at far distances, or can make it focus accurately at far distances but not as close distances. There's no way around that.

Thanks. That was a secondary requirement. If I can get it working properly on the Sony mirrorless I will be satisfied.
