Hello,
I've received from ruby.monkey mail with Ricoh F-O-N. Gorgeous camera, I must admit. It's almost ready to go, just a few minor touches are needed. One is a cleaning of shutter blades (my first non-Copal case).

So out of box I quickly removed black retaining ring and cone-shaped nameplate with SEIKOSHA followed. Front element assembly sticks out, but can't be screwed out. In a pictures I see that it should come out...I applied drop or two of naphtha around potential thread but no success. Either it has seated well or no screw type connection there. On pictures it's hard to see, seems there is no screw thread at all (or very little of it).

bmattock, are you reading me? You have a couple of this Ricohs, what can you suggest, please?

Sure, it screws out like on Copals, though it were set as tightly as I were never seen. Trick were once to tighten and then loosen.

Blades immediately responded to naphtha treatment, just B isn't keeping blades open.
