For Leica IIIF users [and other wise people] just had the cell in a Metrophot replaced and calibrated by Quality Light-Metric Co of Hollywood, CA. Just a bump.

Upon use, I find the calibration is right on. The end result is a "like new" fifty year old meter.

One sends the item and they give an estimate. Including insurance and postage, mine came to $71.00.

just from reports from the net it seems the average repair cost is about 70 bucks from qlm.
i had an older metrastar repaired to like new status for 65 bucks.

They are operating as "mail order". Call, don't go to the address given by Google, to find out how to do business with them. I talked to them last year about a repair and they were using a local business as a maildrop.
