Hey all
I was wondering if any of you have ever taken a selenium meter through an x-ray machine? Can the x-rays damage the photocell?
I ask because lately I've fallen back in love with my fed 5c but i'll be traveling a lot this summer and am debating a fed 5 v
thanks.

My M5s need red dots!
I don't think anything like that can happen. If meters were that sensitive they couldn't last as long.
Let's see what the experts have to say. In my humble and uninformed opinion, I don't see why your scenario should happen.

My Sekonic Auto-Lumi has been through several airports, beginning around 1980 when the X-ray machines were not so soft as they now are, and it still works as it should.

... likes film again.
I have brought my Rolleiflex 35E with Selenium cell meter with me through some airport security checks and nothing bad happened.

X-rays damage anything, given enough exposure. Airport X-ray machines would probably take a LOT of passes through though! Not something I'd worry about.

now I need to find another excuse on why I need a new FSU camera. I'm sure I'll think of something though.
