Can anyone tell me if there is any market in this forum for a used Autorelex T and the 40/1.8? I told my brother-in-law I would post it to try and sell it for him. I know the 40/1.8 had a great reputation being one of the first "pancake" lenses with sharp optics, useful focal length and decent speed. Like many film SLR's for sale, I'm not expecting to make a killing.

These take mercury batteries and if it hasn't been CLA'ed recently, I wouldn't pay much for one. There's a ton of 35mm for sale out there. If I were to invest in more Konica bodies, it'll have to be the T3 and then ship it straight to Greg Weber and have it CLA and bettery conversion.
The 40's are really really good. I keep mine on pretty much all the time on my T3. But sadly, they are about a million (maybe billions and billions) of these 40's out there.

It's the original T. The lens is mint and the camera works OK. Accurate speeds from 1/8-1/1000 but the slower speeds are sluggish. Meter and AE works but exposures are about 1 stop under. I'll post it for sale and see what happens.
