just send it to New Jersey or do I need to let them know it's coming? I have the info from their phone system (how to pack it, add description, address etc.), but I wanted to see if I should try to speak to a human first
Also..
My warranty is expiring next month and it has one of those weird marks on the LCD I want to get fixed. Everything else seems ok - but are there any specific things I should test it for since it is my last warranty opportunity. Is there an easy way to test definitively for those vertical lines or other things? (I haven't noticed lines, but it seems like everyone else has them
)
Thanks

Focus alignment(near-far) and shutter speeds.
My warranty expires in November, and I will be sending it to them in September, after I do my Jamaica shoot in August.

Thanks - good idea, I'll add that to the list and make sure they exactly align the rangefinder patch as well.

For faster service, book a slot in Solms. Leica advises dealing directly with customer service Solms. If Leica opens up the camera, they will check all parts and extend an extra years' guarantee. They will do things like rangefinder adjust etc automatically anyway.

So you are thinking that I should skip New Jersey and send it to Germany? I will get different service in Solms, or just faster service?
I can wait a while to get it back, but if I may get an extra warranty only by shipping to Germany, then I'll do that.
I wuld need to call Customer Service in Solms - any contacts you know of there?
Thanks!

It is the turnaround as CS told me last Friday. I would not know about the warrantee, but it should work the same, I should think.
Contact them and ask. If you ship it to Germany don't forget your customs clearance for repair.

Well, 2 days and no email reply, I guess I'll need to call?
