Hi everyone

Can anyone direct me to a gallery with some images taken with a serenar 35 / 2.8 ?

I've read a bit about these lenses and I'd like to see some examples of the "classic" hi-res, lower contrast, pleasing bokeh they can produce....

Many thanks and I hold none of you responsible for the likely GAS this will induce... ;)

Taffer, it's hard to appreciate optics at such a small size, but you've proven the 35 2.8 to be a fun lens :)

Haha, in fact I like each and every lens I own and at that size I enjoy the results from them all, hence, not probably the best if you'd like to avoid GAS :D

the canon 35/2.8 is a real sleeper of a lens.
it is nice & sharp but with a touch lower contrast that a more modern lens.

it is typical of older canon lenses, solid & sharp.

yep!

i re-started my rf bug with an r body with 35/2.5c and 75/2.5 lenses.
both of those lenses are pretty damn good.

i then started to buy/use/prefer the canon gear.

the cv 35 is very sharp, light and easy to use. it also has high contrast. nothing wrong with that but i started to prefer the 'look' of the canon gear, especially the older lenses like the 35/2.8. it has high res but low contrast and i think it looks kinda retro, kinda cool.

OK - I've been gassed - Thank you all - I knew I could depend on some overnight answers. Oscar I particularly like http://www.pbase.com/taffer/image/43621369 - that lens is sharp but with lovely creamy bokeh IMHO.
I was considering one of the great CV35s,but with all modern lenses so far I want to have a classic for a different feel.
thanks again
