Hi,
My attempts at double exposure have always been fun stuff with silhouette etc.
But when I saw this: https://goo.gl/mKMIqH especially the black and white photos....wow, I want to try this.
Does anyone have experience with something like this?

Really nice. How much do you underexpose each shot?
I'm interested in composing two scenes together......use a "mask" to cover the lens?

You would think I underexposed, wouldn't you, as that's the general consensus for multiple exposures, but in this case it was the opposite!
I had to push the film +2 stops (HP5 at 1600) because of the lack of light. I simply countered this by devving at box speed. HP5 is a brilliantly resilient film with masses of exposure latitude.

When I was first trying out the hand-me-down TLR, I was not yet in the habit of winding the film after each shot, to prevent double exposure. Strictly by coincidence, not by artistic intent, this one actually "worked" and produced a visually pleasing image.

What's that logo? Google is only offering me some brands they think I might buy. Maybe they are right and I don't need to know.
I think mr. Goto's work is at least partially done on an enlarger using multiple negatives or he has an incredible visual eye, having to remember masks used and compositions for hours or days even and finding the perfect pairs. It looks like there's more than 2 exposures used in some frames. Still really impressive work!

It was a promotional public art project for the city of Omaha back in 2007. Some people called it "O-Bang", a name which the Chamber Of Commerce did not like.
