Shameless self-promotion

Hey everyone,

I have some shameless self-promotion to throw out there. I got my first international solo exhibition as well as an artist in residency at the Instituto Volusiano in Sao Paulo, Brazil during the World Cup 2014. I'll have my exhibition there as well as photographing the celebrations/protests of the World Cup 2014, following around some graffiti artists I have a connection with down there, and doing some general street and landscape photography. Congrats... It's early in your campaign using Indiegogo, but I will be keeping an eye on it since I am also considering a crowd funding project. I recently became aware of Indiegogo through this project:

I am also considering using the same book printer (Edition One Books) as this project.

It is early and I haven't posted it anywhere yet besides RFF, but I have $700 worth of donations from people in my community who want to support the project and have known about it for some time. I just need to figure out how to attach that to the project, considering our rural community is not really well-versed in paypal or online credit card usage.

I've heard good things about Edition One books. I debated on doing books for this project, but I have gone into photography projects with the intention of having a book and that was nagging in the back of my head. The result -I took very few "stand alone" images. I want to focus on prints for this project so that I'm always pushing myself to take more powerful photographs. Nothing wrong with books, it's just the way my head works when I'm visualizing and working within a long-term project.
