Hey all,
I just got two rolls developed, and I have been noticing a lack of sharpness in -maybe- a majority of the photos. You can check out my flickr if you want (http://www.flickr.com/photos/46940818@N06/) but what it looks like to me is rangefinder calibration?
case 1, Smile sign: I wanted to get all the text of the sign, but instead I guess I got the camera/door frame.
case 2, Wall+Trees: The wall was 'supposed to be' in full focus of the rangefinder, but it clearly is not. Maybe a hand twitch?
cases 3,4,etc.: The ones on my flickr page don't seem to be bad at all, which makes me unsure about any need for recalibration.
I've seen a lot of sharp GSN photos, and my conclusions are as follows:
-use a higher f/
-take less night photos
-or start using stable objects at night
-stop looking at leica photos
any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
koniczech
