I recently found some old fuji reala 120 film in my closet; Since I was out of my usual film (PH400) I decided to use them anyways. I believe the expiration date was 2003. I shot a whole bunch of pics, mostly my old folks, in their ranch house. I was amazed when I got back the proofs (all shot with SWC). Many have that polaroid quality, really unreal colors, too much yellow, too much green, but beautiful. I wish I had more old reala to try. Does fuji still make it, I heard a couple of years ago they were going to discontinue it.

Don't forget that part of the look of those proofs comes from the lab technician's choices. You can ask them to tweak the look however you prefer. That said, the look is certainly also partly due to the film- and I suspect some of that could be from the non-temperature controlled storage.

Anyway, Reala is still readily available.

Yeah, they make it. It is my favorite color film. I have 10 boxes due to arrive Thursday from Adorama (New York?) My lab is family owned and run. They do fab work.

Ultrafineonline sells reala 120 that is outdated, if i remember correctly, at a very good price.
Either in their shop or on the 'bay.
But if you can't find it, send a mail to their sales dept, they might have some for you.
