After a few months of browsing this forum, I decided to find out what all the fuss was about. Went to a leica dealer in Sydney yesterday and had a play with a used black m6/.72 finder, a mint black m6ttl/.58, chrome m7/.85 and a chrome mp/.72 all with a 35 lux. Big mistake! Now I find myself wanting to sell all my cameras (xpan included) and anything else that`s not bolted down to buy an m7/35 cron kit.
I also checked out the new zeiss and bessas, but it didn`t help. I hope for my bank accounts sake this feeling passes, but I don`t think it will! :bang:

Don't worry, after you acquire a couple Leica M bodies and a bag full of M lenses you will resign yourself to having an ever decreasing bank account. In time, you might even consider it to be a normal condition. 😉

You made a good choice, I instead bought a Canon 5D and a bunch of L glass.. it takes great photo's, but its big and I hate it 🙁

Are you sure it was the Lux, and not the Cron....$2800 seems a little cheap for the Lux ASPH and more so suited towards the price of a Cron???
