I am so glad to know that this and other online communities are out there...I just learned that my local "Pro" camera shop has gone all digital! I wanted to have an 8x10 done of a shot a took recently...so I took it into the pro shop...This is when I found out that they only have scanning availalbe now. I am sure the result will be fine, scanned and printed on professional equipment, but I was looking forward to having that visceral traditional print feel...that is why I have gotten back into 35mm again! I will have to plan ahead next time...mail it to a lab elsewhere or see if somewhere in Richmond still does regular printing. But in the long term I am just going to set up my own darkroom...
