I've just placed an order with freestyle. After 25 years or so, I'm getting back to processing my own B/W film again. What a long, strange trip it's been...(Haven't I heard THAT somewhere before...)

Started shooting with a primitive SLR (Kalimar, I could see the insides of the camera when I looked through the viewfinder), swapped it for a used Pentax Spotmatic F, then added lenses, swapped it all off for an APS-C Canon, sold that to buy an Oly 5060WZ, then bought a Canon 300D...added several lenses, and a Canon 10s film body that uses the same lot of lenses. I Found an old (garage sale buy) Kodak Signet 40 in the closet, took it to Mexico on vacation, immediately hooked on RF shooting again. Bought a Bessa R and a couple more lenses, and I'm now ready to step "gently" into the darkroom, again. Won't go all the way to printing, though.

As it now stands, my wife just looks at me and shakes her head. Sigh...

Regards!
Don

At least you can still call her your 'wife', Don. My wife calls herself my 'widow' when I take off for some alone-time to shoot, or my 'ex' when I give her a shopping list (film, mostly) and ask her to add Freestyle to her list of things-to-do and places-to-go. 🙂

Nooooo wet printing for me, Frank. Although I got pretty good at it while serving as the photographer for the museum where I worked, and did lots of catalog and object photography, and even managed several international publications, I won't have a wet darkroom again. I cobbled together a serviceable darkroom in my basement (I had a SUPER darkroom at the museum), and had to break it all down and hide it every day, and frankly, 'twas smelly and messy. Now, I'll scan the negatives into my computer, and do my tweaking electronically.

Best!

Congrats on the new processing set-up. I'm getting ready to head off to college (most likely for a fine art degree specializing in photography) and will be making HEAVY use of the universities darkroom.

uuuhhh, Tom. You might look around. Most of us have more Slope behind us than what lies ahead. I believe we have "together" taken a full header! :bang: 😉

And that's why we're happy for YOU Don. 🙂
