Just received today...battery is charged and memory card inserted. took practice pics around the house but will post outdoor shots tomorrow when I've had a chance to get comfortable with it. So far I really do like it. Pictures I downloaded are very clean and crisp. Manual focus is easier than I have read too. to be coninued....

Congrats, have fun with this little gem ! You will love it.
My DP2 sits always in my briefcase, together with DP1.

My new-to-me DP2 is supposed to arrive Monday. But I expect this thread to be moved or deleted, as the Sigma is most definitely not a micro 4/3rds camera. I suppose technically it is a point & shoot, albeit a sophisticated one.

mmm....not very sophisticated - according to some reports! - but I must admit to being tempted....perhaps image quality is worth a few shortcomings? My new-to-me DP2 is supposed to arrive Monday. My DP2 arrived yesterday. Everything I had read about it seems to be true, except for the bit about it freezing up and/or going blank - maybe because the first thing I did was load the ver. 1.03 firmware. The camera felt too slippery so I cut out some of Aki Asahi's #4040 embossed leather to put on the front and back - makes a BIG difference to how secure the camera feels in between my thumb and index finger. Light has been total crap, but I am really astounded at the clarity of the first test images I have shot. And the Sigma PhotoPro software for processing RAW is pretty straightforward. Two thumbs up.

Ya, I just scanned color negs from my R4 and Summicron 50 that I used right next to the DP 2 in those previous pictures. They look every bit as good as the digital. Would like a little half case for the Sigma for better handling though. Still awaiting external viewfinder.
