My Epson R-D1 became an R-D1s after a mid-life firmware update. Does anyone know if the same will happen to our Sigma DP1's now that the DP1s has been announced?
And while we're on the DP's: The X3F Utilities v1.3 have gone a long way to making life with Sigma's Foveon RAW format a little less painful under Mac OS X, it still doesn't convert to DNG displayable in the Finder, nor are it's EXIF/IPTC headers writeable. Any rumors about X3F opening up?

Encouraging! That announcement looks very much like a firmware update. I just hope they allow us DP1-users to upgrade our cameras.
