I recently discovered that the sigma dp Merrill camera's have an interesting option... U can specify your raw size.
- large - 15mp - foveon speak 45mp
- medium - 7.1 mp - foveon speak 21.3
- small - 3.7mp - foveon speak 5.1
Has this always been available on foveon based cameras?
This made me go back and look at me other digital cameras... When in raw only, your only option is the full raw size.
The small raws are not very good. The medium raws are quite usable up to iso 400. The large raws start to edge out the comparable medium ones starting at iso 400.
