Simlar 50mm f1.5 & Chiyoko 135mm f4

I just found a Simlar 50mm f1.5 and a Rokkor/Chiyoko 135mm f4 in an old camera bag of my father-in-law. They both appear in good condition and i have shot some film with them on my new R2a to see how they perform.

Has anyone used either and if so, did they like them. The Simlar seems particularily well made - the both weigh a ton!

There was a Leotax camera in there as well but sadly it's shutter seems to be sticking. Is it worth fixing?

I think he must have bought them after or during the Korean War. I need to ask him.

The 5cm Simlar is apparently a Sonnar clone and a rare lens.
Came with Leotax cameras, made by Tokyo Kogaku (Topcon).
Definitely keep and use it if it's clean.

Should perform similarly to the Canon 50/1.5, for instance;
or similar to the Ur-Sonnar that HCB used.

Thanks Roland. There is a tiny scratch on the front element, probably should not affect things. I will post an image when I get them processed. Thanks for doing the research I Googled the lens but did not find that page.
