i have found the site to be slow for the past couple of days.
i thought it might be my computer but then realized all the other sites i visit seem to be moving at normal speed.
i notice it here especially because this site normally is one of the fastest i visit.
is it ok for the rest of you guys?

It's been slow as hell since the upgrade.
It's loading pretty fast for me as of 13:50 today.

Is speed related to the number of people who are online at that time? I noticed that some threads which are very long, like Camera and Coffe, take longer to bring up. You can almost see them loading, especially if they have a lot uploaded photos.

Since the remodeling, I think it's been slower than before. Sometimes it's so slow I do something else while the page loads fully. Other times like right now it's only moderately slow.
Something that seems to slow it is redrawing all the buttons and other decor on the page; it seems to me those things should have been cached from loading the previous page, and that would speed things up nicely.
One thing that's always been disturbing in RFF page loading is the up-down jerking... it starts out showing the first post on the page, and then jerks to the last. Headache...

I have to say that I haven't noticed it has gotten slower... Seems the same to me! BTW why are some of the smilies fuzzy?

Definitely slower for me, since the facelift. It needs some time after the click to ANYTHING happen; then, that anything is the dark gray background and after that more waiting time follows.
But it's not a big deal, still loads okay.

Way slower...just timed it to take 15 seconds to flip to this screen after clicking the
main topic.

seems slower to me after the upgrade / redesign - no big deal - gets you of your stess beat

LOL! Actually I think that it may be that the anti-aliasing is off for the new background color. I think Jorge is (at some point) going to revert back to the old site colors so maybe then the smilies won't look so odd.Roman said:
