Because the topic of relative sizes of 35mm lenses came up in this thread I thought I'd post a photo showing the relative sizes of the 355 I have. They don't include the ZM 35/2, so this is off-topic for the original thread and forum, but I've posted a link there.

Size comparison, left to right:
Konica M-Hexanon 35/2
Konica UC-Hexanon 35/2
Leica Summaron 35/3.5
Leica Elmar 50/2 (modern version, extended).
All on rear caps from CV LTM-M adapters, with adapters on the LTM lenses, all without hoods or filters with original lens caps on. The 50 is there as a point of comparison and to balance what little "composition" there is in the photo.
...Mike
[NOTE: the original seems to have been corrupted somehow, so I've re-edited it.]

Hey Mike, thanks for posting that. As a Hexanon 35 owner, I've often wondered how small the UC is.
How would you compare them in terms of image quality?

The M-Hex has a kind of "honest reportage" quality to it at all apertures, and sort of gets out of your way so you don't notice it. The UC-Hex has a wonderful rendering at f2-2.8ish, then (to my eye) is, um, odd to about f5.6 then looks similar to the M-Hex from there on.wintoid said:How would you compare them in terms of image quality?
Thats about as much of a "capsule summary" as I can do.

I would suspect the 35/2 hexanon on the hexar AF is even smaller... but i can't take it off for proper examination

I had 26 lenses (35mm-40mm) on a table side by side recently. I will find a photo and post it here.

I don't think its possible to have too many 35s.

The version 4 Summicron would probably sit between the UC and the Summarit 3.5 but I’m not sure of that.
