My M8 and using manual lenses on my Leica Dig 3 [ and shortly on the Panasonic G1 ] tends to create a dee'liberation similar to using film .

OK , the zoom is there for mad kid chasing [ chasing being mad , not the kid ] with a modest success rate , but I like the comparitive quietude of using manual which demands focusing , and stopping down each time .

I am uncertain if I am concerned about the comparitive ' quality ' of my Rokkors compared to the kit lens , more about revisiting a familiar place .

Is there any sense in this ?
