Is is true that users are only able to selection metering paterns
with SLR adapters on the M10
if the adapter brings up the 28/90 frameline ?
in other words,
is 28/90 frame line a must have on the SLR adapters for the M10 ?

Afaik no. The coding and frameline selection is only needed to bring up the list of R lenses in the lens selection menu. There are several users of uncoded and wrong-frameline adapters on LUF and there are no complaints regarding this aspect. M10 being the M (Typ 240) and not the ME or Monochrom I suppose...
