Yes! I'm pretty convinced you're right about that. I knew it was familiar, but couldn't get it from the amount of detail showing. I like this place, as there's always someone who knows more about any given aspect.

I think your guess is spot on. It does look like a Pentax K-series.

I think it's a Spotmatic, although it could be a K1000.

It's a K1000. The tall rewind knob with the beveled shoulder is the giveaway. The only Spotmatic with a built-in shoe (not talking about the ES series), with the black plastic wedge under it, was the F, and its rewind knob is different from this picture.
